à Rebecca

The introduction poem of

Les Filles de Terpsichore

describe how
the daughters
of the Muse
dance
like the wind.

The person
who embodies it  most
to my heart is
 Rebecca.

Hence,
I dedicate the introductory poem
of this cycle to her.

Craving on intensity,
presence and musicality,
one cannot be insensitive
to her gracious way of dancing.

Her dancing conveys a feeling
of silky lightness yet,
connection,
surrounding presence
and musicality
are fully there.

One who has not felt
the rythmic precision of her feet
touching the ground
wouldn't know
how sublime it can be
to feel in your arms
the presence of such
an emotional
and intelligent
dancing
artist.

Heaven can wait,
the angels are among us,
waiting,
for
an invitation to dance.
